Goodman Group, an integrated property company that owns, develops and manages logistics facilities, has delivered a strong performance, capitalising on the favourable conditions in the Spanish logistics real estate market in 2017. This year, Goodman completed over 41,000 sqm of new logistics space and signed more than 25,000 sqm of leasing deals. Looking forward to 2018, the company will strengthen its position in Madrid and Barcelona with significant development projects totaling 130,000 sqm of prime logistics space.

Many leading brands, such as major retailer, Decathlon, and the healthcare company, Leventon have relied on Goodman for the development of their logistics space at the Can Margarit Logistics Centre, in Sant Esteve Sesrovires, near Barcelona. Goodman has developed 85,000 sqm iat this industrial estate over the last two years and the development project recently obtained the “Best business Initiative” accolade and the “Inmologística Award 2017,” both of which are organised by leading logistics real estate publications. The project’s strategic location, the high technical standards of the facilties, as well as its contribution to commercial activity in the local market, were key determinants in Goodman being awarded these prizes.
A full project pipeline for 2018
Goodman is investing in the development of over 130,000 sqm across three logistics areas in Catalonia and Madrid, the two regions with the highest level of logistics real estate activity.
In the port of Barcelona’s Zona Franca, Goodman is currently developing 19,850 sqm, of which 9,500 sqm will be available for lease from June 2018 onwards.
Two other major developments in its pipeline in the Madrid region include a new logistics facility on a 34,000 sqm plot in Vicalvaro and a 75,000 sqm logistics platform in Alcalá de Henares. These developments are due to commence construction in early 2018.
