Goodman Group, a leading global owner, developer and manager of logistics and warehousing space, responds to customer demand with plans to grow its Italian business, and appoints Mario Costa as Country Manager.
With €22.6 billion total assets under management globally, including more than 140 properties in Europe, Goodman is well positioned to help its global and local customers with their industrial property needs in the burgeoning Italian market.
Philippe Van der Beken, Managing Director Continental Europe of Goodman, comments: “Goodman is an established partner for many of the major logistics, retail, e-commerce and automotive players in Europe and our customers regularly ask us to support their growth in the Italian market. We have now scaled up our capability to service their needs.
Customers are looking for a property partner that helps them navigate the local environment and delivers seamless quality. With more than 30 years of experience in industrial property, we anticipate the challenges our customers face and leverage opportunities for them.”
Goodman is looking to expand its success in ten other European countries to Italy. With over 5.3 million square metres under management in the region, Goodman has firmly established itself throughout Europe as the partner of choice for developing and managing high-quality industrial properties – from large distribution centres to last mile urban logistics facilities. It is actively looking to procure more sites for customers in core locations, close to infrastructure and consumers, to complement its existing portfolio.
Goodman is focussed on both the quality of its buildings and its people, and is pleased to appoint Mario Costa as the head of the Italian business. Mario is a seasoned industry professional with more than 10 years of experience with property companies such as Logicor, Celtic Italy and Pirelli Real Estate.
Commenting on his appointment, Mario Costa said, “I am proud and excited about this new challenge. Goodman is a leading player in logistics property development and management and the Italian market is experiencing rapid growth and transformation. I am confident that we will be able to provide the solutions our customers need while also creating attractive investment opportunities for our capital partners”.
